Is Zapier worse than Make or n8n?

For complex logic, yes — noticeably. For simple connections it is faster to build in and easier for your team to maintain. And it connects to more applications than either alternative, which frequently settles the decision regardless of the logic comparison.

When should we move a Zap to Make or n8n?

When it needs iteration over lists, meaningful data transformation, chained dependent API calls or real error handling. If you find yourself chaining several Zaps together to achieve one outcome, that is the signal.

How does Zapier pricing work?

Per task, where each successful action counts. The efficiency trick is filtering early — a filter placed after several steps has already consumed tasks for records that were always going to be discarded.

What happens when a Zap fails?

By default it stops and sends an email that is easy to miss. We configure proper failure alerting, because the common experience is discovering weeks later that a Zap turned itself off after repeated errors.
