White Label

Also written: white labelling, white-label fulfilment

Quick answer

What does white label mean?

White labelling means a product or service is delivered under another company's brand rather than the producer's. In agency fulfilment, a specialist team builds systems that the agency presents to its client as its own work, with the fulfilment partner remaining invisible to the end client.

In a GoHighLevel context the term covers two related things that are worth distinguishing.

Platform white labelling is configuration: a custom login domain, agency branding throughout the interface, branded system emails, and optionally a branded mobile app. The client logs into what appears to be the agency’s own software.

Fulfilment white labelling is a service relationship: an external team builds under the agency’s brand, communication routes through the agency, and the partner does not contact the agency’s clients. This is usually backed by contractual terms rather than only an understanding.

Deep platform white labelling shifts the support burden onto the agency, because clients ask whoever’s logo is on the login screen — including about platform features the agency did not build.
